producción discográfica con “Both sides
of the gun” su séptimo álbum de estudio.
Un disco-doble
en el que ofrece todo su talento mezclando rock, soul y
folk, a la vez que se aventura también en territorio
nuevo.
Desde
el resplandeciente estilo funk a lo Curtis Mayfield-Stevie
Wonder de "Black rain" hasta el dulce balanceo
de "Morning yearning" o la balada "Waiting
for you", las dieciocho canciones incluidas en Both
sides nos revelan a un maestro estilista en su mejor momento
de composición e interpretación.
Por
primera vez, el cantante, compositor y multiinstrumentista
decidió que la forma más contundente de presentar
su nuevo material era en dos discos. En el CD 1 te encontrarás
con su lado más rockero, con guitarras y fuertes
bases rítmicas.
En el
CD 2, las canciones son mucho más tranquilas, es
el lado más intimista y experimental de Ben Harper.
“Both sides of the gun” es ya considerado por
algunos críticos como la obra maestra de este canta
autor norte americano, reconocido como uno los iconos y
grandes valores desde hace más de una década.
Desde
su debut en 1994 con Welcome to the cruel world, Ben Harper
se ha ganado el título como uno de los músicos
más versátiles y trabajadores.
Dieciocho temas en total componen este material que salió
al mercado el pasado 21 de marzo.
