así hablan los integrantes de Metallica de su nuevo
disco, St. Anger.

Después de años fuera de la escena discográfica
internacional, la deserción de uno de sus integrantes
y los problemas con otro de ellos, la banda se ha armado
de valor y ha decidido pelear con toda su furia por el lugar
privilegiado que un día tuvieron.
El nombre de Metallica está de nuevo en periódicos,
revistas, radios y televisoras. Fueron proclamados “MTV
Icon” en semanas recientes y lanzaron el disco que
definen como “brutal, castigador, dinámico,
increíble, divertido y tremendo”.
Tan fuerte ha sido el regreso de Metallica, que St. Anger
ocupa, actualmente, la posición número 2 del
Top 200 de la revista Billboard.

Pero para lograr todo lo que ya mencionamos, Metallica
pasó por una racha no tan buena. Al perder a su bajista,
las cosas no pintaban bien. Además, su vocalista
tenía problemas con el alcohol.
Ellos mismos reconocen que la banda estaba fragmentada.
Sin embargo, “nos juntamos, hablamos y decidimos que
lo que teníamos que hacer era un álbum”,
dicen sus integrantes.
Los 20 años que tienen de ser una banda se notan
en este nuevo disco.
A la alineación de Metallica se une Rob Trujillo
como el nuevo bajista. Él trabajaba con Ozzy Osbourne
y Sharon, pero fueron ellos mismos quienes lo mandaron a
la audición de Metallica. Cuando se quedó
en la banda, hasta lo felicitaron.
“Metallica ahora se llena de energías positivas”,
dicen sus integrantes, y por lo visto hay banda para rato.
