Detrás del éxito de este nuevo rapero están Eminem y Dr. Dre

50 Cent es el nombre artístico bajo el que se esconde el polémico Curtis Jackson. Él es la gran revelación de color en el Hip Hop mundial.

Aquí hay unos datos para entender porqué: Eminem y Dr. Dre respaldan su trabajo. Ellos, los más grandes del Hip Hop actual, han proclamado y asegurado que 50 Cent es un rapero talentoso. Por eso lo ficharon, tanto en el sello de Eminem (Shady Records) como en el de Dr. Dre (Aftermath), y han producido su disco “Get rich or die tryin’’.

Ambos, Dr. Dre y Eminem, aparecen el primer video de su disco, el tema llamado “In da club”.

50 Cent ya es una figura dentro del mundo “underground” americano. Sus grabaciones piratas han superado la frontera del millón de copias vendidas y es el artista número 1 en las radios especializadas.

¿Por qué polémico?

Los datos de 50 Cent, antes del éxito y la fama, no son los mejores. Es un hombre al que ya le han disparado 9 veces, un hombre que está amenazado de muerte, un rapero que ya pasado por la cárcel, un artista que con sus canciones ha puesto el mundo del Hip Hop patas arriba...
50 Cent tiene sentido del humor, se rie de todos y eso, en el Hip Hop es peligroso.

Sus canciones son tremendamente pegadizas y las producciones de la mano de Dr. Dre y Eminem son muy, pero muy buenas, por eso se incluyeron dos temas suyos en la banda sonora de “8 Mile” (“Wanksta” y “Places to go”).

Las canciones son dos de los grandes momentos de esta banda sonora que ya ha vendido más de 6 millones de discos en todo el mundo, y uno de los cuales es su primer single en España, “Wanksta”.

“Get rich or die tryin” contiene temas como “Patiently waiting” (Feat. Eminem), “Many men”, “In da club”, “Heat” y “Blood hound” (Feat. Young Buck of G Unit).
