la constante búsqueda de un nuevo sonido imperante
que lidere la corriente universal del rock, Nickelback emerge
con un estilo duro y fresco a la vez. Logra así identificarse
con una generación ávida de explicaciones
a sus propios dilemas y frustraciones, y que se refugia
en las tendencias musicales contemporáneas creando
nuevos ídolos a seguir.
Nickelback se forma en Hanna, ciudad del estado de Alberta,
Canadá, después de que Chad Kroeger convenciera
a su hermano Mike, a su primo Brandon y a su amigo Ryan
Peake para trasladarse hasta Vancouver y grabar diez canciones.
Conquistar el mundo
 Nickelback
comenzó a recorrer Canadá, llegando incluso
a Estados Unidos, teniendo la posibilidad de alternar con
bandas como 3 Doors Down, Creed, y Fuel.
Poco antes de entrar a los prestigiosos estudios “Green
House”, Chad Kroeger ensayaba una de las canciones
del siguiente álbum. Se trataba de “How you
remind me”, el tema con el que han logrado conquistar
el mundo.
Producido por Rick Parashar, “Silver Side Up”,
incluiría además un seguido acierto, el visceral
y poderoso “Too Bad”.
“How you remind me” llegó al número
uno de la revista Billboard en la categoría Rock.
 Nickelback
se encarga de llevarte a un lugar totalmente distinto. El
sonido es un torbellino de energía con influencias
clásicas y contemporáneas como Led Zeppelin
y Creed. Y después está el nombre ¿Qué
significa? Pues simplemente “cinco centavos de vuelto”.
El sonido de la agrupación viene a refrescar el ambiente
con una propuesta rockera muy potente y electrizante. Basta
escuchar una canción.
