Actualmente,
su nombre es sinónimo de controversia. Más
allá de eso, también impone marcas históricas
como vender más de 200 mil copias de su nuevo disco
en un sólo día.

fue la expectativa generada por la salida del disco “Eminem
The Show”, que los piratas aprovecharon la situación
para vender copias clandestinas. Por eso, como una medida
sin precedentes, la disquera de Eminem decidió adelantar
el lanzamiento del álbum.
A pesar de la cantidad de copias piratas que circulaban
y la disposición de los temas en internet, la producción
se vendió “como pan caliente”. En un día,
el álbum vendió 284.534 unidades.
SIN ÉL
No cabe duda que la llegada del disco de Eminem significaba
una nueva ola de controversia. Así lo demuestra su
video “Without me”, el primer sencillo del disco.
En este material, Eminem se viste como Osama Bin Laden,
hace una parodia de “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show”,
e interpreta a varios personajes como “Rap boy”,
“Fat Elvis”, “Bruce Wayne” y “Moby”.
Sus seguidores no veían MTV de la misma forma. “sin
él”. El tema fue producido por el mismo Eminem.
En este proclama la necesidad de un poco de controversia
en el mundo y afirma que la cadena de videos MTV estaría
vacía sin su presencia.
Esta vez, Eminem descarga su verbo contra Chris Kirkpatrick
de N’Sync, Limp Bizkit e, inesperadamente, contra Moby.
Este mismo artista habló en contra de las controversiales
letras de Shady. Cuando fue acusado de homofóbico
actuó junto a Elton John, en los Grammy 2001.
Han pasado ya dos años desde “The Marshall Matters
LP”, un tiempo en el que el rapero ha pasado la mayor
parte del tiempo en la corte con su madre y su ex esposa.
“Eminem The Show” es una prueba de la evolución
del rapero. En su regreso, está más listo
que nunca para la controversia.
